One of the big problems that we see resulting from a parent getting arrested, is their children becoming bitter and angry at authority or police. Statistically this increases the ods that the child will one day get in trouble and arrested themselves. It is important that we strive to teach the child that even if the police officer seemed mean because he arrested your parent, he really wasn't. Of if the officer really was out of line helping the child realize that not all police officers are like that. If we had no police officers chaos and anarchy would reign and none of us would be safe. So teaching our kids that will help them have a more positive view of the situation, and more importantly of police and authority in general.
