Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) is the process of detecting, identifying, and eliminating surreptitious electronic monitoring. In this photo, you can see a small electronic device. It's essentially a covert key fob camera that has been removed from its original housing. This was found in a motel room we were asked to "sweep". It was later determined that it had been placed by a former maintenance person, whom still had access, as they had made copies of all their keys before leaving the job. This person was placing the camera and coming back, periodically, to retrieve the footage, before putting it back in place. They would either charge the lithium battery or exchange it another they had already charged up. They apparently would re-use the SD card, as we were able to recover already deleted videos, along with video of the last occupant. There ways to discover these devices, but it can be difficult for the average person to do so, especially if they simply don't think they're being watched. North Carolina requires additional training and licensing to perform TSCM services and we have been licensed and providing this service since 2010. If you ever believe that you or your business is a victim of electronic eavesdropping, reach out to us. If it's there, we'll find it. We'll be able to determine it's capabilities and may even be able to tell or, at least, help guide you to the answer of the question "who done it". Click "Learn More" for more information. Call Us!
