One of the brilliant skills of this beautiful large cat is it’s versatility; it is able to hunt and patrol in many different terrains, living off the meat of a diversity of animals. Although it is highly adaptable, it is still greatly effected by the changes in ecosystem imbalances due to illegal poaching...and the threats it faces directly resulting from pelt trade. The African Leopard is not endangered, however it is considered vulnerable according to the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List of Threatened Species.
