What does the boat removal process look like? First step is always to call or text us, we answer the phone. An estimate will be scheduled for FREE, we’ll give you a price, and schedule your removal. Backwoods Junk Removal has removed boats that were on the ground with no trailer, on a trailer, AND we have the ability to remove a boat from the water as long as a boat ramp is near by. If the trailer tires are flat, don’t worry, we’ll either load everything onto a flatbed trailer or put good tires on the boat trailer for transport. Unfortunately proper boat disposal takes some labor and coordination. Once we have the boat and/or trailer loaded, we bring everything back to the shop to prepare the hull for disposal. This preparation process includes removing gas and oil, removing the engine and out drive (that’s right, the engine needs to be removed!), removing the batteries, and anything else that is considered hazardous. Everything removed from the Huss is recycled. Once the hull of the boat is bare it’ll be taken to the landfill for disposal. The motor, drivetrain, and batteries will be taken to the recycling facility. If the trailer is not in usable shape it will be recycled as well. As always, feel free to call or text us for any questions you may have.
