To know the One Who first loved us Series: In the Pursuit of Relational Knowledge This week we spent some time examining the "why" behind our scriptural pursuit of knowing Jesus more intimately and relationally. The answer is no surprisingly found in love. Not just the love we have for God, but in the love He first poured out on us. I became a sort of personal object lesson in the message, because I had allowed selfishness to seep in undetected and it blurred and dulled the value of God's love in my heart the day I was seeking God regarding this teaching. Some of it no doubt was an attack of the enemy, but I cannot sidestep the fact that there was some selfishness in my heart and focus which God had to point out to me. Once He did, my "spiritual vision" cleared (so to speak) and that experience became part of the lesson itself. God is good! Blessings!
