Patient Advocacy Paying It Forward May 19, 2023 Apollo Beach Florida Lori Schellenberg, founder of Stepping Stone Advocacy Services recently traveled to her home state of Maryland to meet with one of her Maryland Patient Associates Barbara Blandford RN. A nursing role-model for Lori for over 20 years, Barbara is now pivoting her career to Patient Advocacy where Lori and her team will be teaching her the ropes with hands on guidance and support. Barbara brings over 45 years of experience in nursing and has a wealth of connections in her Maryland community. Her previous experience includes Manager of Business Development and Clinical Liaisons for Post Acute Services at Advent Health and has also worked in case management at several hospitals in the area. This experience is just what we need to enhance our advocacy program, while focusing on Medical Guidance, Decision Support, Recovery and Wellness, and Care Giver Support says Lori Schellenberg.
