Tough talks with God towards Spiritual Growth Series: In Pursuit of Relational Knowledge Continuing in Corinthians we see Paul addressing the immaturity of the Corinthian believers. Their bickering, their jealousies and cliches were all positive proofs of their being mere babies in Christ. Paul expresses the need to grown up into Christ because their actions were building ungodly structures upon the foundation of Jesus Christ - which Paul had laid in their lives. Paul further explained that even as Christians we will experience a type of judgment. We will appear before the Judgment seat of Christ - where we will find that He, our Lord AND Savior, was judged FOR us - ON OUR BGEHALF. However, at that same time our works will also be judged and for that we will recieve either reward or suffer great loss. It is better to enter into the tough discussions with God now, than to have to face our unfaithfulness and lack of deep devotion on that day. In His infinite kindness He WILL wipe the tears away, but we should strive to live lives which will produce as few tears on that day as possible. Blessings!
