Why Job Boards Don’t Work for Employers Job boards can be great places to quickly interact with candidates, but if you've used them as an employer, you know they have flaws. Job boards can be daunting and it's hard to find good candidates among so many underqualified ones. When you post a job on a job board, you will typically receive a large number of applications, but not all of them will be high-quality candidates. So many applications can be overwhelming, and when resumes are badly written it is hard to understand a candidate's qualifications. Because many applicants aren't qualified for the positions they apply for, companies waste time searching through resumes with few results. While some job boards utilize applicant tracking systems to combat this, they can filter out good candidates who lack keywords or have incomplete information. Furthermore, job boards typically represent only active or formerly active job seekers, failing to reach passive candidates who aren't applying for jobs. Employers who rely entirely on job boards may also overlook one of the best sources of new employees: referrals. Using job boards can be difficult, but recruiters are pros! Let us handle the job boards and let us know if you need assistance filling any open positions!
