Unscriptural expectations turn Hosannas into Crucify Him Palm Sunday 2023 It’s Palm Sunday and as I’ve told you many times in the past I really do not know why we celebrate it. The actual event was little more than a superficial hero’s welcome by the Jewish community into Jerusalem. It was something the disciples were quite unprepared for in that they would never have expected it! This day was the fulfillment of the vision Gabriel explained to Daniel in Daniel 9:25-26 - the Messiah was recieved (if only temporarily and superficially) as their Prince... their King, but immediately afterwards He was cut off from the land of the living. The people who shouted Hosanna were looking for a different Messiah than the one predictedin scripture, than the Jesus Who entered Jerusalem that day. By weeks end they deemed Him as worthy of death. Ironically and for all the wrong reasons... they were right. One One could ever be worthy to die for the sins of the whole world and untied us once more to the Father. Jesus Christ the Righteous!
