8 Fresh Figs 2 Oranges 2 tsp Honey Pinch of Ground Cinnamon Preheat the oven to 200C (400F/Gas 6). Make a cross at the top of each fig and gently squeeze the fruit apart a little. Place the figs in an ovenproof dish. Pour in the orange juice, and sprinkle with the honey and cinnamon. Put in the oven to cook for about 15 mins or until the figs have softened and are beginning to caramelize. Mix the crème fraiche with the lime juice and zest and spoon it over the figs. Serve immediately. Figs are a good source of iron and are the perfect little after dinner sweet snack. They are low in calories , have good dietary fibre and are high in potassium.
