The Ephesian Revelation Series: In Pursuit of Relational Knowledge Ephesians has long been viewed as the greatest and most theologically rich letter we have from Paul. In it so much of the Christian faith is mentioned and expounded upon, but one topic perhaps stands out greater than them all and it seems as if in the modern era, it is nearly never taught on. It regards God's eternal purpose in Creation, Redemption, the establishment of the Church and the mystery of the Jews and Gentiles becoming one body in Christ. This purpose of God is to reveal to the angelic hosts (both fallen and otherwise) His complex, intricate & beautiful wisdom. The angels are said to look upon the church, its gospel and how we conduct ourselves in this life (and in particular within our church gatherings) with great interest. They know they are to learn something of eternal importance through us. The church is MORE important than most people ever believed or considered and salvation has MUCH MORE in view, than simply the salvation of fallen man. All of this is made all the more intriguing in that Ephesus was the only church to whom Paul ever said, "I did not hold back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God." ~ Blessings!
