When the toilet backs up, and your bathroom fixtures start to gurgle. It’s a worrying and unpleasant problem to have. The truth is that frequent drain backups, in your home, are signs your main sewer line is blocked or collapsed. You’ll likely notice it first in any plumbing you have in the lower areas of the house and those closest to the main sewer line like an outside gully overflowing. What happens is the wastewater from all the other drain outlets converges into the drain line connecting the house to the sewer main. If the drain line is collapsed or blocked, then the wastewater has nowhere to go. It then backs up and overflows into the lowest drain in the house. If the drain has collapsed, it can drain into the surrounding soil, the dirt will slowly absorb the wastewater, and the blockage will recede. A collapsed drain not repaired will frequently back up and overflow again and again. For all drain blockages, more information is available at http://kingplumbing.com.au/
